Solar Radiation
Sunbathing is good for both body and soul. Unfortunately, however, there is a downside to this. Ultraviolet radiation (UV) can damage the skin. Whereas we can feel the sun’s heat rays and see its visible light rays, we cannot see or feel its dangerous ultraviolet rays.
These can be subdivided into UVA and UVB radiation:
UVA rays promote skin ageing and allergies and result in a superficial tan. They can also increase the risk of cancer. UVB rays are responsible not just for tanning the skin, but for sunburn, too.
You will find additional information at www.uv-index.ch
UV filters are protective filter substances which absorb these dangerous rays and so protect the skin against any damaging effects they might have.
Sherpa Tensing CellActive® - Protect Complex prevents premature skin ageing and provides excellent cell protection. Perfectly balanced UVA/UVB protection provides your skin with reliable protection against sunburn.
